Kalpana Bharat
born in Bombay,
India to a
family of
singers has
inherited the
musical
tradition for
three
generations. The
atmosphere of
music and arts
was heightened
further because
of her father
Shri Kanaiyalal
Dave who himself
is a known
musician as well
as poet.
Kalpana
Bharat learned music for ten years from the renowned
Sangeetacharya
Pandit
Krishnashankar
Shukla. She
passed her
Maters in Music
in first
division from "Prayag
Sangeet Samiti".
Among numerous
accomplishments,
she is a
recipient of the
"All India
Sangeet Sammelan
Award".
As an artist,
Kalpana Bharat
is an exponent
of different
styles of Indian
Music, such as
Classical, Light
Classical, Geet,
Bhajans, Garba,
Raas, Gazal,
Film Songs and
many more. She
is well known
for presenting
elegant
expositions to
Bhartiya Ragas,
which have a
profound impact
on the audience.
Kalpana Bharat has been performing since 1973 in major cities of the U.S,
Canada and
India. She has
also appeared on
Television for
various shows.
In India, She
has given her
musical
performances at
many musical
conferences.
Many famous
cities including
Bombay,
Ahmedabad,
Indore, Ujjain,
Allahbad, Rajkot,
Kolhapur, Baroda
and Surat have
invited her to
perform in music
conferences.
Kalpana
Bharat's husband Shri Bharat Parmar is an
accomplished and
experienced
Tabla player.
After residing
in North America
for over 20
years, both
their carriers
have meet a
brilliant
success.
Currently
Kalpana Bharat
resides in
Toronto, Canada
where she
continues her
journey in North
Indian Music.
Both, Kalpana
Bharat &
Bharat Parmar
provide music
classes in
Vocal, Harmonium
and Tabla in the
Detroit Metro
Area. Their
